On Sunday, 14th March, I went with the Highgate School Tag Rugby teams to a competition in Limassol, Cyprus. It was a hot day, so my team made sure I wore my sunglasses and drank plenty of water. I have had to take my scarf off because it is so hot in Cyprus. We all had great fun and my team played really well. I enjoyed the day out.

Pencil Mouse, Rambo and Highgate visited St. Andrews in Fife with me and their classes. It was quite cold and windy but we kept busy. It was nice and cosy inside the Trinity Church and pencil mouse was allowed to sit in the minister’s pulpit. Outside, we drew sketches of the cathedral and had lunch on the beach.

Pencil mouse from the Czech Republic has joined our growing family of mascots from other countries. The logo of Základní School in Hranice is a cartoon pencil and he has been made to look like it. What a clever idea! 5b think he is wonderful and they all want him to sit at their group.

Teddybarns – Rambo -Jonukas – Roudoudou – Yumak
Here is a photo of me with my friends who have been at Craigiebarns since before Christmas. Roudoudou and Yumak are going home to France and Turkey next week. Jonukas and Rambo are staying for an extra week and then they will be going home. The pupils of Craigiebarns will miss them, we have had a lot of fun together.
On Wednesday 27th January, the pupils of Highgate School went on trips organised by the Greek Department. The main Greek group went to the theatre, while the beginners went to see how halloumi is made. I had a great time and especially enjoyed tasting the halloumi! I think I am going to like Greek food.

Highgate Bear from Cyprus arrived at Craigiebarns today.
He is very smart and will be joining class 6b.

I am such a lucky bear. One of my French friends took me to Tenerife for the Christmas and New Year holiday. The weather was sunny and I had a relaxing time on the beach at Playa de Las Americas.

I have enjoyed some time back at Craigiebarns after returning from Finland but now I am going away to Cyprus very soon. 6b have been writing letters to the pupils of an English speaking school in Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. Here is a photo of me with them and their teacher, Miss Park before I set off later this week.

I have been helping the boys and girls to make things for the Hranice Christmas Market. I am staying in the Czech Republic over Christmas and will be going to their special festivals in January. I will tell you more about them in the new year.
