I attended a very informative Mentors and Masterclassers meeting on Wednesday Evening.

June Jelly, Louise Henderson and Bob Hill did a wonderful job of showing us the main features of GLOW and their educational potential.

It was explained that GLOW would be rolled out to all schools in Dundee by the end of this term. All RM Easymail accounts will also be transferred over to Glow Mail at the end of March. RM Easymail has given us a free month to enable staff to transfer information from their Easymail accounts to their Glow Mail. Staff will be informed about this in a variety of ways including through this blog, dc2, e-mail to school and staff and headteachers will be informed at the Refresh meeting on Friday 29th February.

Staff will only need to prefix their existing network logins with a DD in front when logging into GLOW. It is wonderful that we do not have to change our logins.

After the holidays in April all staff should have their GLOW logins and passwords. They will need to log in to GLOW to access their e-mail.

The roll out for Glow has already commenced with Menzieshill High School, Forthill and St Fergus Primaries receiving their first taster this week. It has been well received in these schools.

If you would like to find out more about the features of GLOW, you can access online help throught the link on the dc2 site “Learning about Glow.”
