On Friday 30th May, Primary 2b (Ms Wishart and Mrs Small’s class) are performing their assembly which is called “Giraffes Can’t Dance”. It is a story about a giraffe that finds it very hard to dance, but in the end manages to. There are loads of different animals in it such as-

Baboons
Lions
Rhinos
Chimps
Cricket
Giraffe

At this assembly, there will be some songs called “Nanana” and “Listen To the Jungle Drum Beat”. We are all looking forward to watching it!

Primary 7 recently visited The Secret Bunker as part of their World War 2 topic. To pay for this trip, P7a decided to organise a tea dance and WW2 – themed concert. In this concert, the P7s will be performing a variety of different talents for the school and will also be performing one in the evening to parents and anyone else who wants to come.
We have all been practising very hard for this event and hope the concerts will go as smoothly as was planned. Tickets for the evening performance will be priced £1 and will be on sale at the start of next week.

Have fun!

Recently, the primary 7s have been visited by English Teachers from Grove Academy to tell us about Grove. We are very excited now! Our class was visited by a very friendly teacher called Mrs Beaton and she told us that we are going to write autobiographies that we would start in Primary 7 and finish in Grove! We were given a sheet with possible memories to write about. We all chose one to start with and began our story. Some of the memories that we could choose from are-
A time that I’d rather forget!
A memorable holiday
A favourite teacher
My first toy
My first friend

If we did not want to write about any of these, we could choose a different category. We have all finished our pieces of writing and we cant wait to see the finished result!!!

Recently, Primary 7a have been organising a teadance to pay for all the primary 7s’ tickets to a place called The Secret Bunker. We chose to do a teadance because our topic is World War II. We began by asking different people to help us,like Kenny Christie. He taught us some dances that people would do back in 1939 (when the war started). So far we have learned the Waltz , the Mambo and the Fox Trot .

Remember the tickets will be £2 Wednesday the 28th of May .

P1B have been doing their assembly about gardens. They sang songs about flowers. We really
enjoyed it. It was fun. We hope mums and dads and grandads and grannies enjoyed it.

P.3A have been learning about the hobbies they do. One catergory was sports. One of the songs we sang was We’re football crazy. Some people’s favourite song was Work Calipso. Some of our hobbies were outside and some were inside. We had lots of different categories of hobbies. We said a really funny poem about a robot. Doing the show was fun. We hope you enjoyed it.
