The Junior Road Safety is a plan to engage primary school pupils in road safety. There was a Dundee-wide competition to design a banner to go at drop off points at schools across the city. Everybody had to enter, so we did it during Miss Hopton’s and Miss Craig’s RCT time. Alexandra came second overall. She won the fantastic prize of a bike! Well done Alexandra!

Over the past few years, the sandy park has been getting burnt down, covered in graffiti and it has being getting ruined. There is only baby swings and 2 slides and they are all broken. They are thinking about putting grass in the park and lots more things to play on. We will keep you updated.

Today P1b did their assembly about mothers day. They sang songs, said a few poems, and said lovely things about their mums. They were very clear with what they said and sang the songs very well. They must have put a lot of work into it as it was very good.
Well done primary one!

In P6a we have been designing a sports centre in our groups. We have to think of facilities that the public might use then survey people at school and at home, once that it is done we will design our sports centre. At this point in time we have a name for our sports centre a motto and a logo. Watch out for us surveying you in the playground from the week begining. We hope that our sports centres are going to be a sucsess just like our technology was.

Over the last year, pupils in Forthill have been working on the Mathematical Challenge. We have heard it was very hard! Three of the people who took part were Alexandra P7b, Jack P7a and Agnijo P5a. There were many more people who started the Challenge, but dropped out part of the way. These three people managed to have the staying power so they hung on till the very end. We are very proud of you! Well Done!

P3b’s assembly was all about space. They told us about planets, orbit, atmosphere and gravity. They also sang songs as well as dancing and using actions during the songs. They had a slide show prepared to show us. Also, they had a page on the Internet with an animation showing us, where and how fast the planets orbit.

Last week the Forthill gymnasts were doing a gymnastic competition. They didn’t come first but had a very could score. They all got a certificate and did very well. Well done!
