The Barnhill Blog

Our class has been very busy since August.
We had a student called Miss Scott and we went to the beach when we were doing our topic called The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. We saw a jellyfish at the beach.
We also visited Sensation.Mrs Arthur couldn’t come because she was not well. We made a potion with vinegar and pink water and blue water and bicarbonate of soda. It made a gas which made an explosion when all the things mixed together.
We have been doing a topic about castles. Our favourite part so far is a story called The Kiss that Missed. You should read it. It is a very good book.
We had a Glow Meet with Mrs Dillon’s class in Woodhill Primary in Glasgow. We showed them the reindeer and Christmas Cards we had made and Santa’s robin. Mrs Arthur kept calling the reindeer robins by mistake!!.
We have just made snowmen pictures and they are cool. You can see them on our wall.

The Primary 6’s and 7’s are planning a show.  The primary 7’s will have main parts and the 6’s will be singing.  We will be performing the show at Grove Acadamy as they have a bigger and newer stage.  We will use Grove Academy’s lights as ours are old and not very good or bright.  We are planning on sending out the letters that we have written to shops in the Ferry asking if they could kindly donate some raffle objects in order for us to raise money.

Abbie P6/7

The P6/7’s are starting a World War 2 Project.  We did a walk about talk about which is when there is a sheet of paper on each desk with something writen on it eg. Blitz. In your table groups you get the chance to walk around each desk and talk about the subject eg. for blitz your group could write down, It started in London, in a bakery.

For our castle topic we made shields. Last week we made snowman. We had a special assembly mrs liang told us the star pupils.from lucy jolly and lucas.

P4a are doing  marathon challenges. We have to do 26 challenges because in a marathon there is 26 miles in a marathon. Our first challenge was to find 26 capital cities.  Our second challenge was to find out about  facts about rivers. Our third challenge is to find about different flags for different country’s

P4a are doing a topic about water.We are doing some of it with our student Miss Lang. We are learning about the water cycle.We have made fish mobiles and portholes. We are hoping to go to the Discovery.None of us know how much water help us.

TIPS OF THE DAY  
Turn off the tap when you’re brushing your teeth.
Don’t be in the shower too long because you’re using lots of water. 
Rather than having a bath have a shower.

We are enjoing this project very much.

We are in the middle of having golden time and we are really having great fun and me and my friends are playing on the computer! We are glad the blog is back!

At Barnhill Primary School we are having a school talent show.You can do lots of stuff like foot-ball skills,dancing.singing and some people are being a Comedian.I am dancing with my friends we are dancing to Cheryl Cole Fight for This love.We are verygood but i think other people will be very good as well.The P4s to P7s are having a talent show and the P1s to P3s are having one to.The P7s are the judges.It is going to be lots of fun.I cant wait.

P.4b went to Forfar Guide Dog Centre on a bus there was loads excitement from 4b. Mrs Miller came with us. When we went inside we talked about the harness then we watched a DVD called Kim and Me. There was a puppy in training called Greg he was a golden retreiver. We saw the training course when we went up the stairs there was fake pigheons. We went to the kennal’s after we went in the room we went first . We had some juice and buiscuit’s and there was a shop open.We got  back on the bus and went back to school and everyone was happy!                                                                                                       by Rory  and  Christopher.

Me and Scott are entering the talent show for two things.The first thing wer’e doing is tennis skills and the second thing is wer’e doing is breakdancing it ‘ll be the best thing ever if we win and I think it’ll be hard for all the judges

The boys football team have been doing well this year as we have won the Angus tournament two times out of three and we will play  the third in June

We have also won most of our league games and if we win the next one and eastern loose we should winn the league
