P7’s have been doing Quality Contact. Last week we were making animal heads, chandeliers and mirrors. We made the animal heads out of paper mashie and we made the chandeliers out of painted wood. The mirror was made for us but we decorated it.

It was really fun we had a great time. We are looking forward to seeing how it will look when it is finished.

We, Robbie and Declan, have been set a challenge by our teacher to collect 1kg of used stamps for Save the Children before the end of term. We think this is going to be a hard job for two people so please help us. We are counting on you. It’s for a good reason…… and we need to beat our teacher because she thinks we can’t do this and we need to prove her wrong!

On the 14th and 15th of June, Ancrum Road’s P7 classes went for their induction days at Harris Academy. It was really fun. We got to do loads of subjects, some of mine were P.E, Home Economics, Art, Music, English, Maths and loads more. My favourite subject was P.E because we got football. My guidance teacher is Mrs Bachelor and my class is 1kb and the house I am in is Kinloch. I have met loads of new friends and some in other years. The 6th years were showing me and other 1st years around the school so we didn’t get lost, but even though the induction days were only on for 2 days I think I know my way around the school pretty well now.

On the 14th and 15th of June we are going up to Harris Academy for our induction days. Then after the summer holidays, in August, we will be moving on as permanent first years (until we move to 2nd year ). Some of us are looking forward to moving on, whilst others are nervous and not very keen.
On May the 8th the Harris guidance teachers came along with some first years to Ancrum Road to talk to us about the Harris.
We managed to get a lot of advice and information which really gave some people more confidence about moving up !
